Rexco Equipment, Inc

Rexco Equipment, Inc. was founded in 1964 by Rex Smith Sr. and his wife Mildred. They started with a store in Cedar Rapids, IA selling and servicing Link-Belt Cranes as the first dealer in Iowa. Their sons, Rex Jr. and Steve grew up in the business. Their commitment to excellence in customer service resulted in great relationships with the manufacturers and loyal customers. In 1985, they expanded the product line with compact equipment adding Bobcat and Exmark.

As Rex Jr. and Steve Smith reached retirement age, they started an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2013, with a belief the empowerment of each employee owner would create a strong future for Rexco. In November of 2015, Josh Bottelman was appointed President and the company continued to thrive. Under his leadership, a strong employee owner culture emerged based on Rexco’s Vision and Guiding Principles. In 2021, Rexco proudly became 100% Employee-Owned. In June of 2022, Rexco updated their logo as part of their ongoing evolution of the company’s brand and commitment to grow so Rexco can better serve our customers with the best equipment solutions.

Rexco currently has 6 locations in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Iowa City, Davenport, Burlington, and Sigourney, Iowa.
