Royal Crane Service has celebrated more than 20 years in business. The owner and President, John Mooncotch, Jr., has been in the crane business since high school. Merely three years after his high school graduation John took a risk and incorporated Royal Crane Service. Since Royal Crane’s inception, the company has averaged 10% or more increases in volume each year. By providing first rate customer service and impeccable safety record, Royal Crane is able to attract and retain contractors of all sizes. These relation ships have afforded the company to work on many high profile projects. 

Royal Crane Service has been serving the Chicagoland Construction market since 1985. Our fleet ranges from 8.5 Ton Carry Deck Cranes through 200 Ton Hydraulic Cranes. They're able to provide reliable service because of their experienced team of Union Operators. Royal Crane Operators have expertise in all facets of the industry from glass, steel, pre-cast, trusses, HVAC equipment, modular homes, bridges, generators, landscape materials, tree removal to whales at the Shedd Aquarium. Royal Crane Service is proud to be involved with ASA Chicago, HACIA, IRTBA , SC&RA and the Chicago Southland Chamber. 

At Royal Crane, our priority is completing your project on-time and on-budget without compromising our commitment to safety. To maintain all of our cost, Royal Crane is committed to the safety of all persons and property at our facility, in transit and on your site. All of our operators are Union trained and go through pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings. We conduct weekly toolbox safety talks in-shop and formal safety meeting quarterly. Supplemental safety information is distributed on a weekly basis to employees. All Cranes are inspected daily by their respective operator and each piece of equipment is third party inspected / certified and current with all OSHA, Insurance and License requirements.
