About Us JR Williams Crane Service in Maine
Joe also known as JR, has over 25 years of experience operating cranes 20 of those years were spent with Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine. Those years at BIW he spent operating cranes from 20 tons to 300 tons, both hydraulic and friction type cranes. He also spent 2 years working as a crane instructor, teaching many of the current operators. He assissted in translating into english the instruction manual for the Chinese built cranes that Bath Iron Works purchased.
In 2005 Joe left BIW and with his wife Kim started JR Williams Crane Service. We started mainly in the private sector, setting trusses for small homes and garages. We have grown to include commercial properties, timber frames and many other projects.
We take the extra step in having our crane OSHA certified every year, which is not required in the State of Maine.
