Our Story
The roots of Garner Construction stretch back all the way to 1972 when Jackie Garner joined the International Operating Engineer’s Local 302. She honed her skills operating cranes on jobs like the West Seattle Bridge, the Satsop Nucelar Site, and the Renton Sewer Treatment Plant. In 1991, she founded Garner Construction Inc. to provide general contractors with a reliable source for skilled operators and riggers. Garner’s first job was with M.A. Mortenson on the $70 Million Physics & Astronomy Building at the University of Washington. Since then, the jobs have grown, and so have we. Today, Garner maintains a full time staff of 35 operators and riggers, and serves clients across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Hawaii.
