DESCRIPTION:
BOOM: 41.9 ft. to 166 ft. 6-section MEGAFORM style main boom with “TWINLOCK” boom pinning system. Seven sheave boon nose. Auxiliary single sheave boon nose.
BOOM EXTENSION: Total length of 112 ft., consisting of a 36 ft. to 59 ft. hydraulically offsettable bi-fold swingaway, with hydraulic luffing from 0 to 40 degrees; and (2) 26 ft. lattice intermediate sections that pin between the boom nose and bifold swingaway; includes testing and calibration.
BOOM ELEVATION: One hydraulic single acting cylinder (-3 to 83 degrees) with integral holding valve.
LOAD MOMENT SYSTEM (“LMI”): EKS 5 Light load moment indicator with automatic cut-out and digital display for actual and admissible load, radius, telescoping and other working conditions.
OPERATORS CAB: Aluminum cab, hydraulically tiltable to 20 degrees mounted on the left side of the turntable, safety glass throughout, hinged front window with wiper, sliding door and window, sunvisor and window shade, dormer window pane with wiper, engine dependent hot water heater, fan and defroster nozzles, deluxe seat with suspension, and headrest, armrest, mounted dual axis crane control joysticks’, full instrumentation panel, ECOS crane engine controls, and 5 kg fire extinguisher.
SWING: 360 degree continuous rotation, 2 slewing gears with axial piston motors, planetary reduction gear, service and holding brake. Infinitely variable speed 0-1.7 rpm.
COUNTERWEIGHT: 88,400 lbs. total consisting of 11 sections weighing approx.: (1) 5,500 lbs. (base plate), (1) 11,000 stackable slab, (2) 8,300 lbs. stackable, (1) 5,500 lbs. stackable, (1) 11,000 lbs. stackable, (2) 5,500 lbs. pinned, (1) 2,2,00 lbs. bolted (aux. hoist or IPO, non-removable), and (2) 12,700 lbs. wing weights. SUPERSTRUCTURE ENGINE: Mercedes Benz OM904LA (EUROMAT 3a/EPA/CARB/Tier III off highway) four cylinder, turbo charged diesel engine 175 hp. Fuel tank: 53 US Gallon capacity.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM: Two pump system, 4 simultaneous functions for crane operation. One axial piston variable displacement pump (load sensing) and one gear pump for slewing. Additional oil cooler; Trailing boom float kit (less dolly). Tank capacity 222 gallons (840 litres).
MAIN AND AUX. HOISTS: Axial piston motor with planetary reduction gear and automatic multiple disc brake. Drum rotation indicator.
WIRE ROPE: 738 ft. (225m) of 19mm diameter wire rope for main hoist & 591 ft (180m) of 19mm diameter wire rope for auxiliary hoist.
SAFETY SYSTEMS: Hoist and lowering limit switches, check valves on load bearing cylinders, pressure relief valves and wind speed indicator.
Outriggers: Four double hydraulically telescoping beams with vertical cylinders and 24” x 24” nylatron outrigger pads. Independent horizontal and vertical operation. Controlled from each side of carrier and superstructure cab, with electronic level indicators. Worklights for each outrigger beam.
Engine: Mercedes Benz OM502LA (EUROMOT 3a / EPA/ CARB / Tier III off highway) 8 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine 510 hp (380kW) with hourmeter, heavy duty air cleaner with safety cartridge. Fuel tank: 106 Gallons (400 litres) capacity with locking filler cap.
TRANSMISSION: Daimler Chrysler G 240-16 with EPS (Electronic Pneumatic Shift) 16 speeds. 2 speed transfer case.
SUSPENSION: Megatrak ™ all wheel independent hydropneumatic suspension, hydraulic lockout and automatic leveling system. Automatic interval-controlled central lubrication of struts and steering lever journals.
BRAKES: Dual line full air on all wheels, conforming to EC regulations. Pneumatically operated spring-loaded emergency/parking brake on axles 2, 3, 4 and 5. Constant throttle engine brake. Anti-lock braking system (ABS).

LIGHTS: 24v system. Full lighting package (includes: head, rear, brake, rear fog, reverse, hazard, directional indicators and reflectors) conforming to EC regulations. Halogen spotlight and two rotating beacons.
CHASSIS CAB: Steel two-man left hand drive. Fully adjustable driver and passenger seats with suspension and three-point seat belts. Safety glass windows, laminated front windscreen with wipers and washers, engine independent diesel air heater incl. 24h timer, heated rear view mirrors, tachograph, odometer, full instrumentation (ECOS), travel controls and 2 kg fire extinguisher. Stereo radio/CD player. Air conditioning.
