This crane sustained damage on October 25, 2015 when the engine caught fire while in operation. The fire lasted for about an hour and a half. The fire was extinguished by the insured's company and the local fire department by hosing it down with water. The engine room is where the fire started, and has been badly damaged. The panels around the engine room have also been heavily damaged, but this does not seem to cause any structural issues for the crane. The mast has heavy smoke damage, but the hydraulic lines and electrical wires are still in good condition. The lower portion of the crane and both operator cabs are in good condition and untouched by the fire. The electrical room was unaffected by the fire and is in good condition. The boom hoist and cable winch drums are in good shape and not affected by the fire. The boom could only be looked at from a distance, but appears to be in good shape. Overall, the crane is still structurally intact following the fire. There has been no work done to this crane. The crane is not operational. The crane does not start, run or operate in its current condition. Please refer to the attached photos and bid accordingly.
